Records published between 1969-1992 contain only information from the Super Taxa, Taxa Notes, and Organism Classifier fields. Earlier records (1926 - 1968) may include the Organism Name and Variant fields. You can search by entering either Super Taxa terms or Biosystematic Codes.

Organism Classifiers List Click the organism classifiers link to access a list of Taxonomic names that you can add to your query. Using the Organism Classifers search aid allows you to locate the preferred terms to add to your search. Search Tips To find new species of an organism, enter new in the Taxonomic Data field. Taxonomic names are automatically searched when you do a Topic search. About Super Taxa Terms Super Taxa are high-level Taxonomic terms that refer to broad categories of organisms, including microorganisms. About Biosystematic Codes Biosystematic codes are five-digit codes representing Taxonomic groups above the genus level.
