Publication Name

Enter a publication name to search the Source field within a record. The product retrieves book titles, book series, and journal titles.

Enter a full or partial (truncated) publication name. If you enter a partial publication name, end it with the asterisk (*) wildcard. Join multiple titles by the OR search operator.


Publication Name Examples

  • Journal of Computer Security finds records of articles published in Journal of Computer Security.

  • Journal of Computer * (note the space before the asterisk) finds records of articles published in Journal of Computer Security, Journal of Computer and Systems, Journal of Computer and System Sciences, and so on.

  • Journal of Comput* finds records of articles published in Journal of Computer Security, Journal of Computational Acoustics, Journal of Computational Mathematics, and so on.

  • Journal of Computer Security OR Computers & Security finds records of articles from either Journal of Computer Security or Computers & Security.

Publication Name Index

Use the Publication Name Index to access a list of titles that you can add to your query. Using the index allows you to locate the preferred titles to add to your search.

Search Tips

  • To find records of conference papers and proceedings, it is advisable to search the Meeting Information field for words in the title of the conference.

  • Do not enter an abbreviated publication name because the product will not retrieve any results.

Did You Know ...

The Inspec Journal List contains the titles of published conference proceedings. However, not all titles of conference proceedings are included in the journal list. For example, when conference proceedings are published as journal supplements, only the journal title, and not the title of the conference proceedings, is included in the journal list.
