This index allows you to select one or more terms to add to an address and/or institution search. Selected terms are searched in the Addresses field within a record.

Browse Option

Click a letter (A-Z) or a number (0-9) to browse through a list of terms alphabetically or numerically. This feature is useful if you do not know the full name of an address or institution.

Move To Option

1. Enter a term or the first few characters of a term in the text field.

2. Click the Move To button to go to a list of terms that begin with the characters that you entered.

3. Click the Add button to select a term from the list. The selected term is added to the text box at the bottom of the page.

4. Click OK to transfer the selected term(s) to the search page.

Did You Know ...

The selected timespan appears in the right-hand corner of the index. The index contains all searchable addresses and institutions (and a record count) for this timespan.

Editing Search Terms

You cannot edit or remove a selected term from the text box at the bottom of the page. You can, however, edit or remove a term when you return to the search page.
