This index allows you to select one or more terms to add to a Topic search.

Browse Option

Click a letter (A-Z) or a number (0-9) to browse through a list of topics alphabetically or numerically. This feature is useful if you wish to search through similarly spelled topics (for example, planetaria, planetaries, and planetarium).

Move To Option

1. Enter a topic or the first few characters of a topic in the text field.

2. Click the Move To button to go to a list of topics that begin with the characters that you entered.

3. Click the Add button to select a topic from the list. The selected topic is added to the text box at the bottom of the page.

4. Click OK to transfer the selected topic(s) to the search page.

Search Tip

Use the Topic Index to check for synonyms and variant spellings. The index also lists the record count for each term.

Did You Know ...

The selected timespan appears in the right-hand corner of the index. The index contains all searchable topics (and a record count) for this timespan.

Editing Search Terms

You cannot edit or remove a selected topic from the text box at the bottom of the page. You can, however, edit or remove a topic when you return to the search page.
