indexFull RecordView all of the information about a record that is contained in the product database. The title of the document appears at the top of the page. Any or all of the following fields may appear in a record, depending on the content and type of the source document. If no data are available for a particular field, then the field does not display. indexFull Record FieldsThere are three different types of Full Records in the Data Citation Index. They include:
indexTitleFull title of the source document. indexFrom RepositoryThe name of the source Repository from where the record was retrieved. Click the hyperlink to go to the Full Record of the named source repository. From Data StudyThe name of the Data Study from where the record was retrieved. Click the hyperlink to go to the Full Record of the named Data Study. indexByThe primary and secondary authors of the source document. Click the hyperlink to see a complete list of documents authored by the selected person. Note: You cannot add a record to ResearcherID for anonymous authors. indexGroup Author(s)The name of the organization or institution that authored the source document. Click the hyperlink to see a complete list of documents authored by the selected group author. indexEdited byThe name of one or more editors of a source publication. Note that a corporate author can also be an editor. Click the hyperlink to see a complete list of documents edited by the selected person. indexView ResearcherID and ORCIDThis table lists the authors who have claimed the document as their work in ResearcherID or ORCID. Click an identifier to view the author's publication list in ResearcherID or ORCID. An author may have a ResearcherID or an ORCID iD or both identifiers. If you are the author of the article, you can add it to your publication list in ResearcherID by clicking the arrow next to Save to EndNote online and selecting Save to ResearcherID.
indexSourceThe name of the repository (title of the source document). Source information may include:
indexSource URLThe Source URL hyperlink opens a new Web page to an external Web site, the source repository where you can view more bibliographic information about the selected record and have access to the data. indexAbstractA brief summary or description of the essential content from the source document. indexFor example: Accession Number: DRCI:DATA2012001000682873 indexKeywordsAuthor KeywordsLists the author keywords and descriptors if available in the data. Keywords are terms that researchers use in their published works. indexAuthor InformationAddressesThe addresses of all authors as supplied by the source record. Addresses: 1. University of Helsinki. Department of Political Science, Finland indexE-mail AddressesThe e-mail address of the author(s). indexFundingFundingThis table displays information about the funding agency and the grant number. The Funding table is available on a Full Record for Repository records. For example:
indexFunding TextDisplays information related to funding data associated with the source record. The Funding Text field is available on a Full Record for Data Study and Data Set records. For example:
indexCategories / ClassificationResearch AreaResearch area of the data repository. A data repository may have more than one research area. Research area terms add value to Data Study and Data Set records to enable discovery and proper identification of the data. indexWeb of Science CategoriesSubject category of the data repository. A repository may have more than one subject area. indexTaxonomic DataThis table displays the following information. Super Taxa: High-level Taxonomic terms that refer to broad categories of organisms. Super Taxa are presented in order from lowest level Taxa to highest. For example: Microorganisms, Viruses, ssDNA Viruses Taxa Notes: Common names of broad groups of organisms and microorganisms discussed in the source document by the author. For example: Microorganisms, Single-Stranded DNA Viruses, Viruses Organism Classifier: Represents the organism classifier and the corresponding Biosystematic Code for an organism discussed in the source document by the author. For example: Nanoviridae Organism Name: Contains the name of an organism as given by the author(s) in the source document. For example: Banana bunchy top virus Details: Other information such as gender of the organism, its developmental stage, and its role. It may also contain a fossil indicator and whether the organism is a new Taxon and its type. For example: (isolate Autralia) indexDocument InformationDocument TypeThe selected document type. For example:

indexLanguageThe selected language of the data. See Searching the Language Field for more detailed information. indexAccession NumberA unique identifying number associated with each record in the product. It consists of a product identification code and a unique item number. PMIDPubMed ID. The PubMed ID is available for records of documents that have corresponding records in MEDLINE. indexOther InformationDemographicsDisplays the terms relating to the demographic limits of the data such as populations or subpopulations used in the research that created the data. Most commonly applied to the fields in the Social Sciences. For example: Demographics: population aged 15 and over indexGene NameDisplays the gene names featured as the focus of the data record. For example: Gene Name: Saccharomyces cerevisiae ste11 gene indexGeospatialThis table displays geographical or other geospatial terms associated with the data and which are significant in interpreting the data and the location where the data were gathered, but not the location of the laboratory where the work was done or the author’s location. Information presented is usually at the level of country or state and optionally carries broader term classifiers. Countries and states carry broader term classifiers to continent level. Continents and other non geographical terms may carry no classifier. For example:
indexMethodDescribes the methodology employed in generating the data featured in the record. For example: Method: Platform:GPL1747:Ramaciotti Centre 10k combined Rat Oligo indexMiscellaneousDisplays descriptor terms which do not align with other descriptor types. indexNamed PersonDisplays a name of the people whoe are the focus of the data. For example: Named Person: Charles Darwin indexTimeDisplays any form of time or timespan associated with the data and the period over which the data were gathered. These terms may be named periods, years, or dates. For example: Time: JULY, 1955; Cold War indexCited References in Data Citation IndexThe Cited References count displays the total number of records that the current record cites. Click the link to view a list of documents that cite the current document whose title appears at the top of the page. Access to records is limited to your institution's subscription. Click the View All hyperlink to go to an Associated Records results page where you can view all records associated with the current record.

indexTimes CitedThe Times Cited count is the number of articles in the database that cite the current article. Click the number to go to the list of citing articles. indexCited ReferencesThe Cited References count displays the number of documents cited by the current record. Click the link to view the list of cited references. From there you can view the full record of each cited reference. (Access to the full records of cited references may be limited to your institution's subscription.) indexView Related RecordsTo view records that share cited references with the record you are viewing in the current database, click the View Related Records link. indexCreate Citation AlertThis feature requires a subscription to the Web of Science Core Collection. Contact your System Administrator for more information if this feature is unavailable at your institution. To create a citation alert for the current record, click the Create Citation Alert button in the right-hand column of the Full Record page. A citation alert notifies you by e-mail whenever a document you specify has been cited by a new article. Go to Saved Searches & Alerts (located in the My Tools menu) to see the expiration date of the alert. You may renew the alert at any time. We will send you an e-mail approximately two weeks before the alert expires to remind you to renew the alert. To set up your alert settings, you must be a registered user and you must sign in to Web of Science.

Access to citing articles is limited by your institution's subscription. indexHow to Cite this ResourceThe "How to Cite this Resource" feature provides a standard example of how to properly cite the Data Study or Data Set in your research paper. Use this feature to provide proper accreditation to the source information by way of a cited reference. indexOutput RecordsOptions to output records are available from the Results, Full Record, and Marked List pages.

See also Marking Records indexSave to ResearcherID - I Wrote These PublicationsThis feature allows you (or an authorized administrator) to add your published works to your publication list in ResearcherID. Use this feature if you see records that you wish to claim as your works.
indexDesignating Administrator AccessAn administrator is an individual with a ResearcherID account who is associated with an organization or institution. The designated person can perform administrative activities within ResearcherID and utilize the ResearcherID upload web service. An administrator may be granted proxy access to the ResearcherID accounts of other researchers at your institution in order to manage and update their accounts. For information on how to become an administrator for ResearcherID, refer to the FAQ How Do I get Access to Researcher ID Upload. indexOne-Click Search on NamesA one-click search on the name of a linked author, editor, or group author will retrieve all records by that person (within the selected timespan) that exists in the product database. Use this feature to narrow your search to records published by the selected person. The new set of results is automatically added to the Search History table. indexEN IconA red EN icon indicates the record has been saved to your EndNote online library. Click the icon to go to your library. This icon only appears if you have signed in and if the record is already in your EndNote library. See also EndNote indexNCBIThis button opens a new Web page that contains a table with NCBI resource names that link to the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). This option is only available for records for which a PubMedID exists. Visit the NCBI Web site to look for more information on a genome or nucleotide. Explore human genome resources or bring up a Map Viewer to browse the human genome sequence. |
