What's New in Web of Knowledge?

The current version of Web of Knowledge includes the following new features.

All Web of Knowledge Product Databases

  • Designate an Administrator at your institution to manage and update your ResearcherID publication list.

    Proxy users must register with Web of Knowledge and have their own ResearcherID account.

  • View user interface text and help text in Traditional Chinese and Korean.

  • View field-sensitive error messages when a search query fails. View suggestions to improve your query or link to field-specific help and training tutorials to help revise your query.

Thomson Reuters supports the following operating systems and browsers for Web of Knowledge product databases, including EndNote Web and the Structure Search function in Web of Science.

Adding Records to Your EndNote Web Account

To use this feature, you must be a registered user of Web of Knowledge and you must sign in.

If you are not signed in after you select the record(s) to add to your EndNote Web account, the system prompts you to sign in after you click the EndNote Web button. The system then returns you to the Results or Full Record page where you will have to re-submit your records to your EndNote Web library.

About ResearcherID

We added a "I Wrote These Publications" button to the following pages.

  • Results
  • Full Record
  • Cited References
  • Citing Articles
  • Related Records
  • Author Search Results (Web of Science only)

This feature lets you add your published works to your publication list in ResearcherID. Use this feature if you see records in the product that you wish to claim as your works.

After you select your published works, the product asks you to certify that you are the author (or an authorized administrator) of the selected document(s).

To use this feature, you must be a registered user of ResearcherID and signed in to your current session in Web of Knowledge.
