indexSearching the Address FieldRussian Science Citation Index provides partial addresses of authors. Generally, the name of the institution and department name are given, but the country name or full mailing address is not provided. A superscript next to an author name indicates the corresponding address in the Addresses field. If the name of an author in Cyrillic script has been transliterated into Latin script, then an address for that author is usually supplied in both Cyrillic and English. indexAddress ExamplesОмский государственный университет finds records in which Омский государственный университет appears in the Addresses field. Омский finds records in which Омский appears in the Addresses field. This search retrieves all of the records found by the search Омский государственный университет. In addition, it retrieves records that contain Омский anywhere in an address: Omsk State University finds records in which Omsk State University appears in the Addresses field. Omsk find records in which Omsk appears in the Addresses field. This search retrieves all records found by the search Omsk State University. In addition, it retrieves records in which Omsk appears anywhere in the Addresses field. indexSAME OperatorUse the SAME operator because it specifies that terms joined by the operator be in the same address. Using the SAME operator restricts your search. For example, the search query IBM SAME NY retrieves records that contain these two terms in the Addresses field of a Full Record. For instance:

Terms such Univ, Med, and Phys must be entered as part of an address phrase. For example, Penn State Univ is acceptable, but Univ alone is not. indexAbout Search OperatorsTo search on an address that contains a search operator (AND, OR, NOT, NEAR, SAME), enclose the name in quotation marks.
