Ranking the Records

  1. Click Analyze Results on any Results page to go to the Analyze Results page. By default, the system will analyze by the first field listed on in the field menu. A chart of the top field values is shown at the top of the page, and a data table of the top field values is shown below that image. The top field values from the selected field are listed along with their record count.

  2. Select a field to analyze from the field menu list on the left.

Visualization: The visualization at the top of the page shows up to 25 values. You can change from a Treemap chart to a Bar graph, you can download a JPG image of the visualization, and you can Hide the visualization if you want to focus on the data table.

Data Table: The data table below the visualization shows up to 500 values. You can also change the sort order and set the Minimum record count.

  • Sort Order. The Sort selected in the data table also changes the order of the values in the Visualization.

o Record count ranks the values from high to low, according to the number of records in which each value (minimum record count) appears.

o Selected field sorts the list in ascending alphabetical (A-Z) or numeric (0-9) order.

  • Minimum record count (threshold). To be listed in the results table and the visualization, a value must appear at least "this" number of times in the set. Example: If you select Author and set a threshold of 4, then an author's name is included in the results table if it appears in 4 or more records.
