The Distinct Author Set results page displays the author sets that you selected from the Distinct Author Sets page.
You can also access this page by performing a one-click author search from a Full Record page. If the record is part of a set, then the system displays the Distinct Author Set results page, not the familiar Results page.
Conference Proceedings Information
If the product finds records of conference proceedings, it will display the conference title, date, and location in the Conference Information field below the Author(s) field.
In the Source field, the system displays the title of the conference source publication followed by the book series title (if available), volume number, page range, and publication date.
You must have a subscription to one or both Conference Proceedings citation indexes to search for and to view conference records.
The number of results shown on the Distinct Author Set results page may be smaller than the total number of results reported on the Distinct Author Sets page. The system uses all years of Web of Science to create Distinct Author sets but your subscription may be smaller and not include all years and all citation databases.
For example, one set may contain articles published in 1972, 1978, 1985, and 1990. If your subscription covers 1980-present, you will only see the articles from 1985 and 1990.
In addition, the results shown will depend on the databases amd timespan that you selected when you began your Author search.
Remember,
an article may not belong to any set because it does not meet certain criteria
or because it has not yet been processed by the Distinct Author Identification
System.
The Distinct Author Set page displays the total number of records that you selected from author set(s) from the Distinct Author Sets page. The number in the Results field should match the total number of records that appear in the # of Records column for all selected sets.
The Distinct Author Search page will also retrieve records in a set when you perform a one-click author search from a Full Record page. The number of records in the Results field should match the total number of records in a particular author set.
Be aware that the number
of records returned for a set will be less than the number of records in the set
if your Web of Science subscription is not for the full database
and timespan.

If you go to the Full Record of one of the records on the Distinct Author Set results page, and perform a one-click search on the author name, the system returns you to the Distinct Author Set results page and the following links appear.

Did You Know ...
The Distinct Author Identification System uses citation data to create sets of articles likely written by a particular author.
Did You Also Know ...
There is a high probability that all articles in a set are authored by the same person. By contrast, a search by author name from the Search page may return articles that are authored by different persons who happen to have the same name.
Results are based on the depth of your Web of Science subscription - this includes the databases and timespan that you selected when you began your Author search. Items that do not appear on the Results page are not counted.
For example, if your subscription depth is 10 years, then the number of retrieved results is based on this depth even though a particular author may have published articles more than 10 years ago. See your System Administrator for more information about your Web of Science subscription.
