Web of Science Core Collection - Structure Search

The Structure Search function has a new user interface and the Structure Drawing box has a built-in Accelrys JDraw applet that allows you to draw and modify chemical structures.

The function is available to customers who subscribe to either Index Chemicus (IC) and/or Current Chemical Reactions (CCR-Expanded).

The Structure Drawing box is easy to use and comes with built-in tools that allow you to:

  • Search for compound and reaction records by creating chemical structures using the Accelrys JDraw applet.

  • Search for compound and reaction records by copying and pasting chemical structures that you created in other drawing tools, such as ISIS Draw and ChemDraw.

  • Copy and paste chemical structures from the Reaction Results, Compound Results, and Full Record pages.

  • Modify chemical structures by right-clicking on an atom in a chemical structure to display Atom Properties options from contextual menus and submenus.

  • Modify chemical structures by right-clicking on a bond in a chemical structure to display Bond Properties options from contextual menus and submenus.

Other enhancements allow you to:

  • Print, e-mail, and save your compound and reaction records from the Reaction Results and Compound Results pages.

  • Select range search operators from compound and reaction numerical data fields.
