Searching the Discipline Field

Searches Current Contents Connect disciplines, broad subject categories to which journals have been assigned. Each article record indicates the discipline of the journal in which the article is published.

A journal can be assigned to only one discipline per edition. If you see more than one discipline in the Discipline field of a Full Record, then the journal is covered in more than one edition of Current Contents. For example, Journal of Insect Physiology belongs to the discipline Physiology in the Life Sciences edition and to the discipline Entomology/Pest Control in the Agriculture, Biology, and Environmental Sciences edition. Therefore, both Physiology and Entomology/Pest Control would appear in the Discipline field of a record from that journal.
