Searching the Astronomical Object Field

The Astronomical Object field contains controlled designations for astronomical objects discussed in the source documents. The designations may be:

  • Name-based acronyms
  • Catalogue-based, consisting of an acronym for the catalogue followed by the catalogue entry number
  • Positional information

You can use search operators (AND, OR, NOT) and wildcards (* $ ?) in your search query.
