Search Tips

Enter the name of the first author of a multi-authored article, proceeding, book, data study, or other document type.

In the Cited Work field, enter an abbreviated title of the publication or the first one or two significant words of the title followed by an asterisk (*) wildcard (for example: microbiol*).

In the Cited Title field, enter the title of a cited article, book, or proceedings paper. This option is only available in Web of Science Core Collection and BIOSIS Citation Index.

Try searching for cited references without entering a cited year in order to retrieve variations of the same cited reference. You can always return to the Cited Reference Search page and enter a cited year if you get too many references from the first search.
