Timespan

Use Timespan to specify the time period that you wish to search. The following is a list of timespan options:

All Years

Searches all years in your current subscription. This is the default timespan setting.

Last 5 Years

Searches the current year and the previous four years. The years are publication years, not database years.

Year to Date

Searches the current year up to the last update to the product database. Only records with a processing date in the current year are included in the results.

Last 4 weeks

Since Web of Science Core Collection is updated five days per week, a search limited to Last 4 weeks will search a rolling file of data added to the product database over the past four weeks. The four-week period is defined as the previous 29 days from the last load date. Keep in mind that data added during the last four weeks may include items with older publication dates that were recently indexed.

Last 2 weeks

Since Web of Science Core Collection is updated five days per week, a search limited to Last 2 weeks will search a rolling file of data added to the product database over the past two weeks. The two-week period is defined as the previous 13 days from last load date. Keep in mind that data added during the last two weeks may include items with older publication dates that were recently indexed.

Current week

Since Web of Science Core Collection is updated 5 days per week, a search limited to Current week will search a rolling file of data added to the product database over the past week. The current week is defined as the previous six days from the last load date. Keep in mind that data added during the current week may include items with older publication dates that were recently indexed.

From YYYY To YYYY

Searches a range of database years based on the publication year. The default value is generally the earliest year in your institution's subscription up to the date when the product database was last updated.

This is the default setting unless you go to sign in and change your personal settings.
